The City of Cape Town has warned Fish Hoek residents that their water supply will be disrupted from seven o’clock this evening due to emergency maintenance. It will affect the water supply to all avenues below Main Road. Spokesperson for the Department of Water and Sanitation, Farouk Robertson, says the repair of a 300-millimeter valve will take place this evening due to heat conditions experienced during the day. Farouk has urged residents to store water for domestic use in clean, sealed containers before the repairs take place. He says two mobile tankers will be made available for residents, one at False Bay Hospital and the other will be positioned based on residents needs.
